EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO WORK

Self Employed - Remember you are Self Employed and need to register with HMRC within 3 Months.  Details can be found on the website, www.gov.uk/working-for-yourself.  Your invoices are paid by us 1 week in arrears.  You will be paid on Friday’s by BACS, please remember you will need fuel and expenses during this period.  (approx. 2 weeks)

RATES OF PAY

SMALL VAN: £7.50 FOR THE FIRST 4 MILES THEN 0.80P PER MILE

LARGE VAN: £15.00 FOR THE FIRST 4 MILES THEN 0.80P PER MILE

BIKE (sometimes asked to collect): £5.00 FOR THE FIRST 4 MILES THEN 0.85P PER MILE

Rates may vary on some accounts / Some contracts and runs will pay a fixed amount.

Drop rates may apply if multiple items are collected from the same customer

VAN INSURANCE EXCESS DEPOSIT
£500.00 – Deducted weekly from your statement (This amount is normally £15.00)

TICKETS - Any parking or traffic penalties received against the vehicle whilst being hired by you will be paid immediately on receipt of notification.  Drivers may still challenge any tickets but will need to get a permission letter from the company.

UNIFORM - We will provide you with the top part of the company uniform (£50 will be debited at £10 per week + VAT).  You will receive 3 Polo Shirts, 2 Sweatshirts, a Winter Jacket and a High Viz Vest.  You will need to wear dark trousers (cargo shorts in the summer), and work boots (protective toe shoes or boots).  Your photograph company ID card must be visible at all times whilst working.

BONUS SCHEME 

Aweekly uniform & attendance bonus of: £60 is paid to all those drivers who work during an agreed 10Hr period Monday to Friday and wear the company uniform.

LEAVING - If you wish to leave E Courier we ask that you give us 1 weeks’ notice to Recruitment.  All equipment must be returned during fleet hours.  £130.00 from your Final Weeks’ wages will be held for 31 Days against any tickets(traffic violations) .  The final payment will be made directly to your bank account. on the following Friday after the 31 Days.
